What types of media and ink do you offer?
All products are plotted using water-resistant, ultraviolet-resistant inks on three different types of media. [1] 120 gram (6.5 mil) premium bond paper, [2] 373 gram (18 mil) archival canvas, and [3] removable, adhesive-back canvas (6 mil). All materials can be laminated for added durability and water resistance. Laminated products can also be used with dry erase and water soluble markers.
What is your maximum print size?
Our maximum print size is 60" x 144". Plots larger than 60" wide can also be produced in two pieces and spliced together. NOTE: Oversized items may be subject to a shipping fee.
Can you mount, stretch, or frame my picture after printing?
Sorry, we don't do any mounting, stretching, or framing. We only print.
Are there any discounts available?
Yes. If you have purchased a customized aeronautical wall chart in the past and need an updated version of the same chart, let us know. We will send you a coupon code for a 10% discount on the updated chart. (The 10% discount will also be applied to all other items purchased on the same order!)
Do you offer quantity discounts?
Yes. Volume discounts will be offered (depending on the size of order).
How can I make an account on your website?
You will need to select an item to purchase and add it to the shopping cart and then proceed to checkout. The account creation process is next.
Will my finished print have a white border?
Yes. All plots will have at least a 1/4" white margin on all sides. Larger plots will have at least 1" margins on all sides for mounting hardware (not included). If you would like us to trim the images so there are no margins, please include the request with your order.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover in our store. Sorry, we cannot accept personal checks.
How will my order be shipped?
Your order will be shipped in a heavy duty mailing tube or a flat box, depending on the size.
Will I be charges Sales Tax?
Only shipments delivered in Florida will be charge 7% Sales Tax.

What types of aeronautical charts are available?
Higher Plane offers several beautiful and practical wall plots. We have two versions of the popular U.S. IFR/VFR Low Altitude Planning Chart. We also have VFR Sectionals, Terminal Area and Flyway Planning charts, as well as IFR Low Enroute and IFR Area charts. VFR charts are available for all 50 states and IFR charts are available for all states except Hawaii. These maps are perfect for planning room, office or hangar walls.
Are these the same charts issued by the government?
Yes. All maps are created using digital versions of official FAA/NACO charts.
What types of custom maps can be created?
The VFR sectional charts can be digitally ‘stitched‘ together creating a unique map centered on a location of your choice. Custom wall maps will cover approximately the same area as standard sectionals (1:500,000… approx. 325nm wide x 250nm tall.) All maps can also be plotted at larger, easier to read scales (1:360,000) or at larger sizes maintaining the original scale (450nm x 350nm.)
How else can these maps be customized?
Mileage circles can be added to VFR Sectional and US Planning charts. Digitally supplied logos or artwork can also be added to virtually any large format product.
How do I know which maps can be customized?
All options become available when selecting products from our store. If you have any special requests, please send to info@hplane.com and we will contact you with details.

What types of wall maps are available?
City, state, and world map titles are available. There are maps from several categories like travel, scholastic, demographics, etc. New maps are periodically added.
What if I can’t find a map of a particular map?
There are hundreds of other titles not shown in our store. Send your request to info@hplane.com and we’ll let you know details regarding what is available.

What types of large format plots are available?
We have a variety of wall art available. You may view what is available for purchase in our store. New products are periodically added.
Can large plots be made of my own photos or digital art?
Yes. We can provide large format photos or signs from your digital files.
How do I send (upload) digital images to you?
Instructions and information for providing your digital files is contained in the “Large Format Plots” page of our online store. Images can be plotted at virtually any size and on your choice of available media.
What are your size requirements for a digital image?
The largest file size that you can upload to us will produce the best quality picture. We would suggest at least a 1280 x 960 pixel size. This is equivalent to a 1.3 mega-pixel digital camera. Higher mega-pixel cameras will produce better looking enlargements. When scanning a picture to send to us, please use a setting of at least 300 dpi on your scanner for our smaller prints, 600 dpi for our medium sized prints, and 1200 dpi for our largest sized prints.
What if I have doubts about my image quality?
If you do not know if your picture quality is good enough for enlarging, please send it to us at and we will advise you. You will be promptly notified when there are any doubts concerning the quality of your scanned image. Paid orders are an acknowledgement from you to print and complete the order as listed.
How do I know which enlargement size will match my image?
Let us know your size requirements upon placing your order and we will contact you with actual dimensions before production begins.
What if an image has a copyright?
As a customer, you are responsible for making certain that you do not violate anyone's copyright rights. On occasion, we may ask you for written assurance that you do own the copyright rights to images you provide. NOTE: We reserve the right to refuse to print, store, or display any image which might be considered offensive or illegal.
Can you enlarge my developed photos?
Yes we can. You can either scan the photo yourself and upload it to us or send the photo to us by regular mail and we will scan it. Please be sure to package your photo properly for shipment. A bubble-wrap envelope is suggested. We will return it with your enlargement. NOTE: We cannot be held responsible for damaged photos during shipment to us.

How will I get the picture back that I send you?
Your picture will be secured in the mailing tube or box with the enlargement. If it is too large, it will be shipped separately.
Can you repair my damaged photos?
Yes we can. Tears, stains, water spots, and scratches can all be digitally removed. Your photo will be scanned and converted to a digital image. The image can then be touched-up and printed to look like new.
Can you convert a color photo to black & white?
Yes we can. This option is offered on the order page.
Can you convert a black & white photo to color?
Sorry, we don't do colorization.
Can you do special editing and artwork to my pictures?
Yes we can. We charge $10 per 1/4 hour of work with a minimum of 1/2 hour. Please email your picture to trent@hplane.com and tell us what you want.

Can I cancel my order?
You may cancel any order that has not entered production. Please contact us within 12 hours if at all possible. A refund will not be necessary since orders are not billed until products are shipped. Contact us as soon as possible if you want to cancel an order that is already in production. We will do what we can to assure your satisfaction.

Do you ship to other countries outside the US?
No. We only ship to the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii).
How long does it take to receive my order?
It usually takes 2 to 5 days for processing and 2 to 3 days for shipping (approximately 4 to 8 days altogether). Orders with custom requests or lamination add several days to the process. Please allow 10 to 14 business days for special and/or laminated orders.
How will my order be shipped?
Your order will be shipped in a heavy duty mailing tube or a flat box, depending on the size.
Can my order be shipped to a P.O. Box?
No, sorry. Have your order mailed to an alternate, but reliable address - your friend’s house, a relative’s house, or your job instead.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is free on typical orders. NOTE: Oversized orders may be subject to additional shipping charges.
How can I find out if my order has been shipped?
Contact us at info@hplane.com and we will reply with actual or estimated shipment details.
What if my order is damaged?
Please refuse delivery on any order that is damaged. We will follow up with the carrier and promptly send a replacement. If your order was indicated as delivered by the carrier (e.g., via delivery confirmation tag) we may refuse to re-ship your order.

When do the Gift Certificates expire?
Gift Certificates are valid on future retail purchases from Higher Plane Inc only. Gift Certificates and unused portions of Gift Certificates have no expiration date and may be used on any future Higher Plane Inc order. Gift Certificates are not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a cash refund. Any unused balance will be credited to the recipient's Gift Certificate account. Higher Plane Inc is not responsible for lost or stolen Gift Certificates.
Higher Plane Inc reserves the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time at its discretion. The recipient's email address will be used once only for the purpose of sending the electronic Gift Certificate being purchased and will not be used for any other marketing purposes.

Can I get a refund on my order?
If you are not happy with an order that you receive, we will do what we can to make you satisfied. Contact us at returns@hplane.com. NOTE: Since most of our products are custom in nature, we are often unable to provide a refund.

What if my order is incorrect?
We stand behind our products 100%. If we make an error in the printing process, or your image differs materially from the image you uploaded, please let us know. We will issue a Return Authorization number for you. Contact us at returns@hplane.com with return requests.
